Job Description

Appian Architect (Remote) Job Title Appian Architect Location Remote Duration 6-Month Contract-to-Hire Job Description We are seeking an experienced Appian Architect to lead end-to-end Appian BPM implementations and support enterprise workflow automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable Appian-based solutions in enterprise environments. This role requires strong expertise in BPM architecture, Appian platform capabilities, integrations, process automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The candidate must be capable of leading development efforts while driving architecture and design best practices. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end Appian implementation projects Design and develop BPM applications using the Appian platform Architect scalable workflow automation solutions using no-code/low-code methodologies Build and maintain Appian objects including: Interfaces Process models Records Reports SAIL forms Expression rules Query rules Constant rules Data types Sites and integrations Develop integrations using Web APIs, integration services, and web services Manage deployments using Appian pipelines and deployment best practices Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, architecture, design, and development activities Collaborate with development teams, stakeholders, and cross-functional business units Lead technical discussions, demonstrations, and solution walkthroughs Support Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies throughout the SDLC Ensure application scalability, performance, and maintainability Required Skills & Experience Minimum 10 years of experience working on Appian projects Strong expertise in Appian BPM architecture and application development Hands-on experience with no-code/low-code BPM solutions, specifically Appian Deep understanding of: Appian Records Interfaces Process Models SAIL Integrations Web APIs Deployment pipelines Smart services Experience working with BPM object types, expression rules, query rules, and constants Experience leading Appian development teams and enterprise implementations Strong understanding of Appian platform capabilities and architecture best practices Experience with enterprise software configuration, deployment, and testing Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities independently with minimal supervision Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to deliver technical presentations and demonstrations Preferred Qualifications Appian certifications preferred Prior experience working in large enterprise environments Strong stakeholder management and leadership capabilities
