Accepting Candidates About the Role We're hiring a COBOL Developer for a 6-month contract-to-hire opportunity supporting a major government technology and healthcare services environment. This is a hybrid role in Albany, NY, requiring onsite presence 2-3 days per week. We are seeking experienced Mainframe Developers with strong COBOL, CICS, DB2, and SQL expertise who can support large-scale enterprise applications. Candidates with Medicaid, MMIS, healthcare claims, or EDI transaction experience are highly desirable. Top Skills

Transactions (Preferred) Responsibilities Mainframe Application Development Develop, enhance, and maintain COBOL applications Support CICS transaction processing systems Design and optimize DB2 database interactions Develop and maintain SQL queries and stored logic System Analysis & Enhancement Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions Troubleshoot and resolve application issues Support production and development environments Participate in application modernization initiatives where applicable Testing & Documentation Create and execute unit testing plans Support system and integration testing activities Maintain technical documentation Collaborate with business and technical teams Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in: Computer Science Engineering Mathematics Related Technical Discipline Equivalent experience accepted 5+ years of experience with:
