DevOps and Tools Engineer

Experteer Overview In this role you enable DevOps tooling and processes across Fisher Investments' Technology organization to accelerate Agile planning and CI/CD. You'll support the Corporate Systems team and work with cross-functional groups to connect current designs to long-term architecture, improving tool reliability and automation. The position combines hands-on tool configuration, monitoring, and on-call support to help scale our Agile-at-scale initiatives. You will have a meaningful impact by enhancing development efficiency and security controls in both cloud and private data centers.

• Define and implement application/integration development processes and roadmaps to align designs with long-term architecture
• Configure and support cloud-based Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence) to improve development efficiency and tool stability
• Develop tooling and automation to increase development speed and enforce security/audit controls
• Integrate and configure additional tools/frameworks to support Agile at scale
• Promote DevOps tool usage across Technology groups and improve processes
• Monitor system availability and performance against SLAs and address incidents
• Coordinate with other departments on service lapses and perform root cause analysis
• Provide international and 24/7 support via on-call duties and flexible off-hours maintenance Tasks
• 4+ years of experience with DevOps tools (Github, Jenkins, Artifactory, Ansible, Terraform, AppDynamics, Splunk) or equivalent
• Experience with Ansible Tower or Ansible Automation Platform for deployment automation
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Shell, Groovy, Python, PowerShell, HCL)
• Practical use of private data center/cloud/public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Administration of Jira/Confluence (Atlassian tools)
• 3+ years with Docker/Kubernetes and container orchestration
• 3+ years with relational DBs (MSSQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) or MongoDB
• Knowledge of design areas: Containerization, Performance, Security, Availability, Operations, Monitoring Key requirements
