CGI Position Description:
CGI leads a team to support and modernize multiple cloud‑based systems supporting multi‑agency case management using agile DevSecOps teams. We have built, maintained, and enhanced multiple solutions over the years for our client, deploying to AWS. The client consistently relies on our experienced teams to address new challenges using emerging technologies. We are seeking a senior DevSecOps engineer who can quickly learn new technologies to enhance existing systems while gaining a strong understanding of the client ecosystem. You will deploy all applications to the cloud using automated CI/CD pipelines, so understanding the importance of test‑driven development is essential. The ability to take ownership and drive completion of program‑wide infrastructure initiatives is critical. This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Build CI/CD pipelines for microservices, applications, and supporting components. Develop standard CI/CD approaches across supported teams and the application portfolio. Optimize system availability while minimizing AWS costs and supporting all required teams. Manage security requirements, including patching, to maintain existing security authorizations. Analyze system logs to perform root‑cause analysis of performance or infrastructure issues. Participate in design meetings with other projects and the client's technical specialists. Collaborate with agile teams to design, build, and deliver cloud‑based solutions. Coordinate integration testing across multiple (more than three) teams. Participate in daily stand‑ups, backlog grooming, sprint demos, and other agile ceremonies.
Qualifications:
Required qualifications to be successful in this role: Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required as well as successful passing of CGI background check prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a
DHS/CISA

Experience with Terraform, AWS, and Splunk. Experience with Kubernetes (AWS EKS), Ansible, or Harness.io. Experience delivering within Agile development teams and strong familiarity with Scrum and/or Kanban. Experience building CI/CD pipelines for Java‑based microservices using Maven or Gradle. Experience building CI/CD pipelines for web applications using Node.js, Angular, or React. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Strong communication skills.
Desired qualifications:
In‑depth knowledge of cloud architecture and security, commercial and open‑source ICAM products, cybersecurity administration, and security compliance. Experience with New Relic or Grafana. AWS certification.
