RevTrak, a Vanco company, is seeking a District Financial Solution Architect to serve as a senior, consultative partner to large K-12 school districts. This role works directly with district finance leaders—often at the CFO or Finance Director level—to assess financial operations, payment processes, and system integrations, and to help districts understand cost, risk, and operational complexity across their schools. Districts face increasing pressure to demonstrate fiscal responsibility, reduce risk, and modernize fragmented systems. This role plays a pivotal part in helping finance leaders gain clarity and confidence by translating complex financial and technical realities into clear, data-backed insights that support district decision-making and board-level conversations. The focus is on trusted advisory engagement, analytical rigor, and executive-level communication. Key Responsibilities Lead structured, on-site financial and operational assessments with large school districts (typically 1-2 days) Partner with district CFOs and finance teams to analyze payment processes, fund flows, and system integrations Identify cost drivers, inefficiencies, compliance risks, and governance challenges across district financial operations Quantify financial, operational, and risk impacts in a clear, executive-ready format Develop concise findings summaries aligned to district priorities and board-level decision making Collaborate with internal customer success and account teams to ensure insights are accurately translated into next steps Participate in executive-level discussions as a financial and systems expert Contribute insights from the field to internal training, best practices, and solution design Conduct remote advisory engagements when travel is not required Core Competencies Strategic Financial Advisory - Serves as a trusted thought partner to K-12 CFOs and finance leaders, providing objective, data-backed insights that support district strategy, fiscal stewardship, and board-level decision-making. K-12 Financial & Governance Expertise - Deep understanding of district fund accounting, financial controls, governance structures, and compliance requirements, with the ability to assess risk and operational impact across complex school systems. Analytics & Operational Assessment - Excels at diagnosing end-to-end payment processes, system integrations, and fund flows to identify inefficiencies, cost drivers, and hidden risk within large, distributed organizations. Executive Communication & Influence - Translates complex financial and technical realities into clear, concise narratives that build confidence with senior leaders and enable informed decisions across diverse stakeholder groups.Requirements:
Qualifications Prior experience in a senior K-12 district finance role (e.g., CFO, Finance Director, Controller), or closely related experience serving districts in a financial leadership capacity Strong understanding of K-12 fund accounting, district governance, and board reporting Demonstrated ability to assess complex financial operations and communicate findings to senior executives Experience working with SIS, ERP, or district financial systems Familiarity with Skyward required; PowerSchool experience strongly preferred Executive presence and confidence working directly with district leadership Comfortable working independently in a travel-intensive role Travel Expectations Approximately 2-3 weeks per month of travel to district sites Remaining time spent on remote advisory work and internal collaboration What we offer: Mission driven organization focused on the communities we serve Small collaborative teams where you impact both outcome and culture This role is a remote, work from home role in one of our approved states. Placement within the range is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: knowledge, skills, years & depth of experience, and equity with internal team members.
