Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Embedded Software Engineer to join our cutting-edge technology team at STRYKE. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and maintaining embedded systems that power a wide range of advanced applications. Your expertise will drive the design, implementation, and optimization of software solutions that enhance system performance, reliability, and security. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a diverse set of technologies, including real-time operating systems, hardware interfaces, and cloud integrations, all within a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and test embedded software for various hardware platforms using foundational program languages such as C, Python and Go. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and translate them into efficient code that meets project specifications. Implement and maintain APIs and RESTful services to enable seamless communication between embedded devices and cloud services like AWS or Azure. Optimize software for performance, power consumption, and security in real-time environments. Integrate hardware components with software solutions, ensuring compatibility with IT infrastructure standards. Utilize version control tools such as GitHub, SVN, or Git to manage code repositories effectively. Participate in Agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure timely delivery of features. Conduct thorough testing and debugging across Linux-based systems and other operating environments to guarantee robustness. Document technical specifications, system architecture diagrams, and user manuals for future reference and compliance purposes. Requirements Eligible to obtain Top Secret / SCI security clearance. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. Proven experience in software development for embedded systems using C or Python and familiar with x86/x64 assembly. Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as Linux operating systems, SQL databases (MySQL), and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and experience working with APIs in various applications. Hands-on experience with version control systems such as GitHub or SVN for collaborative development. Experience working within Agile methodologies to manage project workflows efficiently. Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities to articulate technical ideas clearly. Preferred Active Top Secret Security Clearance. Experience debugging embedded systems. Experience with
ARM / MIPS / PPC
assembly languages. Experience with RF Communications systems. Knowledge of common wired and wireless network protocol structures.
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
