Job Description Engineer II:

• Participate in developing technology solutions and strategy.
• Assist in designing, developing, and deploying platforms and applications.
• Contributes to design patterns and coding standards.
• Contributes to the identification, creation, socialization, adoption, and maintenance of library and shared code.
• Contributes to developer tool solutions, process definition, administration, and support.
• Participates in the design and implementation of security controls, and engineer to meet compliance controls.
• Ensures documentation is created.
• Contributes to automated unit and integration testing efforts, and helps with system and integration testing efforts.
• Contributes to incident prevention, resolution, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Participate in elicitation activities and backlog grooming.
• Translate business requirements to functional, non-functional, and technical designs.

Telecommuting permitted up to 20% per week. Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week.

Pay Range:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field, plus 2 years of experience in a software engineering or related role. Must have 2 years of production experience in developing with at least one of the following languages: C, C++, Java, C#, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby. Must have 2 years of production experience in using database technologies, including RDBMS, NoSQL, or Cassandra. Must have 2 years of experience in large-scale distributed systems and client-server architectures. Must have 2 years of experience in debugging and optimizing code, and automating routine tasks. Must have 2 years of production experience in designing, developing, and deploying applications with cloud computing platforms. Must have 2 years of experience in implementing and managing high capacity, redundant, and mission critical environments. Must have 2 years of experience in running and maintaining a 24x7 production environment. Must have 1 year of experience in working with big datasets. Telecommuting permitted up to 20% per week.
