Available Benefits Help for . The Field Application Engineer (FAE) acts as the primary technical contact between and its customers. This role involves providing technical support, conducting product demonstrations, troubleshooting complex system issues at customer sites, and assisting in the design-in process. The FAE works closely with the sales team to secure new business and ensure high customer satisfaction. Reasonability Provide on-site and remote technical support for installations, calibration, and troubleshooting of products (e.g., semiconductor tools, automated test equipment, power supplies). Serve as the technical expert during pre-sales and post-sales activities, including product demonstrations, training, and evaluations. Assist customers with PLC programming, software configuration (e.g., LabVIEW), and network optimization. Feedback customer requirements and technical challenges to product marketing and BU engineering to influence future product developments. Travel extensively (40%-60% or higher depending on the specific role) within the assigned Texas territory and occasionally internationally. Document customer visits, technical issues, and solutions in the CRM system. Qualifications Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
2-5+ years of experience in a field support, applications, or design role.
Strong understanding of electronics, circuit design, or industrial automation (PLC code debugging, communication protocols like Modbus/Ethernet/IP).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
Must be able to lift up to 30-60 lbs. (equipment) and hold a valid driver's license (often with a clean driving record). Preferred Qualifications Experience in the semiconductor or data center industry.
Proficiency in CAD/CAE tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) or software programming.
