We turn ideas into real solutions that make a positive impact. We're looking for a Junior AI Developer who is passionate about software development and interested in building AI-powered applications. This role is ideal for someone at the beginning of their career who wants to grow their skills in AI, work with modern tools, and gain hands-on experience in real projects. You will join the Digital & Data team at Jacobs , working closely with experienced engineers, data scientists, and project teams to support the development of AI solutions for both public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development of AI-powered applications using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript Assist in building simple AI workflows, including integrations with APIs and data sources Help create and maintain basic RAG pipelines and AI-assisted automation solutions Use AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude , or similar to improve productivity Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and deliver working solutions Participate in developing front-end (React/HTML/CSS) and back-end components Support testing, debugging, and improving applications Help prepare documentation and demos Learn and stay up to date with AI tools and best practices Here's what you'll need 1-2 years of experience in software development (internships or projects included)Bachelor's degree (or in progress) in computer science, AI, data science, or similar Basic knowledge of Python and JavaScript/TypeScript Interest in AI/ML and working with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude) Familiarity with Git and basic software development practices Willingness to learn and grow in a fast-changing environment Nice to have: Experience with simple AI projects (e.g., chatbots, integrations with APIs) Basic understanding of frameworks like LangChain or similar Awareness of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) Internship or academic project experience in AI or software development We offer: Rewarding employment
