Position Type:
Multiyear Contract Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship and must live in the US The position focuses heavily on IBM mainframe technologies and requires deep hands-on expertise in COBOL, Assembler, DB2, CICS, JCL, and batch processing. Candidates must have a minimum of 10 years (ideally closer to 15 years) of professional experience and recent, hands on experience with Assembler, COBOL, and CICS. Requirements
MUST have extensive Assembler, CICS and COBOL
Strong preference for this developer to have experience within an Agile environment
Working with FIS OPF (Open Payments Framework), their ACH processing platform (Any experience FIS Connex experience is a bonus - "not required")
Minimum 10 years experience with COBOL, DB2, Command-Level CICS, JCL, Batch and
TSO/ISPF
Strong technical coding skills with a proven track record of adherence to process
Familiarity with SDLC - Software Development Life Cycle
Demonstrates an understanding of FIS systems and the financial services industry (big plus)
Analyze, define and document technical design for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating systems environment, interface with other systems, internal and external controls and output
Design and code new application solutions; integrate changes to existing solutions
Develop and maintain solution documentation
Maintain and monitor systems/applications after implementation
Prepare test data; conduct unit and string testing; debug code and systems components
Troubleshoot and resolve application/solution problems
Conduct research and analysis; make recommendations
Working knowledge of application development including determining, developing, testing, and implementing system requirements; designing, coding, debugging applications
Basic skill resolving conflicting requests and meeting changing requirements
Effective database and presentation software skills
Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
Effective research, analytical, and problem solving skills
Effective skill analyzing and organizing problems or work processes for technical solutions
Effective skill designing and deploying new, upgraded and/or existing systems
Effective skill in systems analysis, workflow, or procedural analysis
Effective skill troubleshooting and resolving technical problems
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Serena ChangeMan ZMF source packaging/management tool experience (nice to have).
Development experience with IBM Mainframe Assembly language, with heavy use of the Concept 14 macros set add-on product (nice to have).
