Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer (30+ Years Experience) ???? Hybrid - Westlake, OH Direct Hire US Citizen or Green Card We're hiring a highly experienced Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer to lead engineering and optimization of our IBM z/OS environment. This is a pure infrastructure/programming role -not application development-focused on performance, stability, and system architecture. What you'll do: Own and optimize the enterprise mainframe platform (z/OS) Lead installation, configuration, and tuning of core systems & tools Manage CICS, storage, scheduling (JobTrac), and disaster recovery Drive capacity planning, automation, and modernization initiatives Provide senior technical leadership across teams and vendors What you bring: 30+ years of hands-on mainframe systems programming experience Deep expertise in z/OS, CICS, performance tuning, and infrastructure Strong experience with CA, BMC, storage, and security tools Proven leadership in complex, 24/7 enterprise environments
