Job Description

 Your role As a Applications Engineer, your mission is to design and deliver engineered-to-order centrifugal compressors and upgrade solutions that enhance efficiency, integrate advanced features, and replace obsolete components. You will empower our customers with state-of-the-art performance tailored to their unique needs.. You will report to the Aftermarket Application Engineering Team Leader. You will
Customer & Sales Collaboration:
Work with customers and the sales team to define compressor upgrade projects, review customer requests and prepare proposals with a clear scope of supply, and assist in closing order by maintaining proposal and project status.
Proposal Development & Budgeting:
Write well-defined proposals for upgrade projects. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to develop accurate material and labor budgets.
Technical Analysis & Tools:
Perform aerodynamic re-rates and efficiency upgrades using Atlas Copco engineering software. Use internal software tools (SAP ERP, Enovia PLM) for cost analysis and project management.
Project Execution and Communication:
Clearly convey technical and commercial aspects of orders and kick off projects internally. Coordinate with the controls systems upgrade team to ensure full scope in coverage in proposals. Maintain organized and accessible project records.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation:
Participate in development and implementation of new upgrade ideas and related projects. To succeed, you will need We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every single requirement. You have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or at least three years of related experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment. You can read engineering drawings and instrumentation diagrams. You understand mechanical engineering principles including thermodynamics, aerodynamics, and fluid dynamics. You have strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects and meet delivery schedules. Competitive Pay:
Base salary ranges from $74,000 to $100,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
