About the Role We are seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer with deep Azure cloud expertise to serve as a technical authority and strategic leader across our cloud and platform engineering ecosystem. In this role, you will define the DevOps vision, drive cloud architecture standards, and influence how teams design, deploy, and operate systems at scale. As a principal-level engineer, you will combine hands-on technical leadership with cross-team influence—solving complex problems, shaping long-term platform strategy, and mentoring senior engineers—while remaining deeply engaged in critical infrastructure and production systems. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities

• Act as a technical leader and subject matter expert for DevOps and Azure cloud architecture across the organization
• Define and evolve cloud, DevOps, and platform engineering strategy, standards, and best practices
• Architect and oversee enterprise-scale Azure environments, ensuring security, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency
• Lead the design and implementation of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM) as a foundation for all environments
• Establish and optimize CI/CD platforms and deployment strategies using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or equivalent tools
• Guide teams in building and operating cloud-native architectures, including Kubernetes (AKS), PaaS services, and event-driven systems
• Partner closely with security, networking, and application leaders to embed DevSecOps and Zero Trust principles
• Drive observability, resilience, and operational excellence through monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response frameworks
• Lead root cause analysis for complex system failures and influence long-term remediation
• Mentor senior engineers and contribute to technical career growth across the organization
• Influence leadership decisions through architecture reviews, design proposals, and executive-level technical guidance ________________________________________ What We Look For
• 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or Cloud Architecture, with increasing leadership scope
• Expert-level, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in large-scale, production environments
• Proven ability to design and operate highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure systems
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes (AKS), container orchestration, and modern deployment patterns
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and self-service platforms
• Advanced scripting and automation skills using Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, identity, security, and governance at enterprise scale
• Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across multiple teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership ________________________________________ Preferred Qualifications
• Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
• Experience designing and operating multi-region, multi-subscription, or hybrid Azure architectures
• Strong background in cloud security, compliance, and risk management
• Experience implementing FinOps practices and driving cloud cost optimization at scale
• Prior experience in a principal, staff, or architect-level engineering role
