Process Automation Developer#26-08825 $70.00-$76.11 per hour Henderson, CO All On-site Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Explain what the scope of the work/project is? Project Overview, deliverables (what is this person responsible for). The contractor will migrate existing automations from Nintex and SharePoint into Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate.
They will:
Rebuild existing approval forms and workflow automations in Power Apps/Automate Improve workflows where appropriate Produce documentation of each solution for future reuse Handle multiple automation projects of varying size (1 week to ~4 months each) 2. What does a typical day look like? Receive requirements/screenshots from the team Independently build Power Apps and Power Automate workflows 6. Describe work environment / team culture (supportive/collaborative, teamwork or individual contributor)? Supportive, collaborative Contractor will work independently but will always have access to the team for questions Central Power Apps team provides standards/support Not a large Power Apps‐skilled environment, so the contractor is the primary developer 7. Can you elaborate on any potential risks or safety considerations associated with this role, particularly if the responsibilities extend beyond a standard desk or office environment? None physically. Possible exposure to nuclear‐related data, which requires the resource to be US‐based. 9. What are the work hours/shift (standard, evening, full time/part time, OT required, on-call for 24/7 operation)? Standard business hours Must work within US-based time zones, ideally Mountain or Central Fully remote acceptable 1. What are the top 3-5 skills and qualifications (technology/application/software, etc.) required? Power Apps development (medium-advanced level) Power Automate development Project documentation Microsoft SharePoint experience (low priority) Dataverse experience (nice-to-have but valuable) 2. What non-technical skills are necessary (i.e., such as communication, problem solving, team player)? Strong communication for asking questions/escalating issues Ability to work independently Optional but helpful: ability to build test scripts 3. Ideal candidate background and how many years required? 2 to 6 years of Power Apps & Power Automate development experience Prior experience building multiple apps/automations end-to-end No specific industry background required 4. Are there any specific companies you like to see on a candidate's resume? None. No company preferences. 5. Are there any certifications that the candidate must possess? Hiring manager is not sure which certifications apply. Certifications are not required, but the manager can research them if needed. 6. Are there any preferred or "nice to have" skills? Microsoft Dataverse familiarity UI/app design skills "Light coding" ability within the Power Apps ecosystem 1. What is the location of the contract assignment (Full time onsite, hybrid - percent of time on site/home or, are you open to fully remote)? If the resource is expected to be onsite, can you confirm if the resource can park on Xcel property/in the ramp? Remote anywhere in the U.S. Must be US-based (Xcel policy) If they visit an office, all offices have free parking except downtown Denver If Denver office required, hiring manager would adjust schedule to avoid parking costs Position Summary The Process Automation Developer II utilizes their strong skills in process automation technology to design and develop complex automated solutions for manual and repetitive work across the enterprise. They support and maintain automations across various domains. They build deep business acumen to ensure accurate functional results and system operations. They form and leverage strong relationships with customers to ensure a successful end-to-end automation lifecycle. Essential Responsibilities 40%
Automation Development:
Develops medium to complex automations 20%
Business Process Analysis:
Collaborates to evaluate and design automation solutions 20%
Automation Support & Maintenance:
Maintains existing automations and implements incremental improvements 10%
Technical Expertise:
Stays current with existing and emerging automation technologies 10%
Coaching & Leadership:
Trains and coaches less experienced developers and performs partial reviews of the work of others Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Technology, Science, Business or related field, or 4 years of experience equivalent to the position Understanding of process automation platforms and/or relevant programming languages (RPA, BPM, LCAP, SQL, ETL, API, .NET, C#, etc.) Effective communication skills Ability to collaborate and build effective relationships Ability to analyze, problem-solve, and troubleshoot issues Candidates must meet at least one of the following requirements: 3 years of related functional experience; OR 2 year of related functional experience AND 5 or more automations developed using relevant process automation platforms
