Job Description
Job Description Insight Global is seeking a BMC Helix CMDB Engineer to support a high-visibility initiative focused on improving vulnerability management and asset visibility across the organization. This role will take a CMDB within BMC Helix (v26+) and build out the foundational data model, ingest asset data from multiple systems, and develop reporting to identify gaps across the environment. This is a hands-on role requiring prior experience building and configuring a CMDB, not just maintaining one. The ideal candidate can operate independently, work with external data sources, and help establish best practices for CMDB structure and reporting. - Hands-on experience building a CMDB
- Helix engineer background
- CMDB architecture & data modeling
- Asset inventory / asset data structures
- Experience ingesting external data feeds into a CMDB
- Experience working with REST APIs and troubleshooting data issues
- Experience building and reporting dashboards within Helix
- Ability to work independently in a loosely defined environment
- Exposure to Tenable or vulnerability management tools
- Experience with CrowdStrike, Splunk, Zscaler, or similar platforms
- Experience working with Azure or cloud-based environments
- Background in security + IT operations alignment
- Experience working with large, enterprise asset inventories
- Experience influencing project structure or best practices
