As a Senior Full Stack Developer for Scrapbook.com, you will work fully in-house at our headquarters in Gilbert, Arizona during your training period of 60-90 days. Following the training period, you will have the option to work remotely three days/week. Scrapbook.com is an established consumer e-commerce brand serving the papercrafting community, with a custom e-commerce platform (not Shopify, Magento, or another packaged solution). You will work alongside colleagues across the organization to design, build, and maintain systems that deliver a beautiful, frictionless experience for Scrapbook.com customers, as well as the internal tools our teams rely on to run the business.
Primary responsibilities include:
Design and development of new and existing systems Support and ongoing improvement of existing systems and processes Continuous improvement of code quality, scalability, security, and documentation across the team. As a Scrapbook.com Senior Full Stack Developer, you will: Design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and provide future recommendations for web-based systems that provide beautiful, frictionless customer experiences. Collect the full scope of projects and coordinate work with team members, supporting projects from concept to development, deployment, and launch. Contribute ideas and make recommendations for features and systems that are in balance with shared organizational goals and priorities. Design and implement web infrastructure, including back-end databases, classes, libraries, and other core structures that developers use, with a balanced approach that allows for scalability and flexibility. Assist other developers by sharing knowledge and conducting code reviews to increase the team's overall effectiveness. Work with colleagues to create tools for internal processes and reporting, allowing them to perform tasks more efficiently and providing access to decision-making data at all levels of the organization. Troubleshoot and solve the most challenging issues for both customers and colleagues via email, phone, chat, and in-person as needed. Create and maintain documentation in code and in shared team documentation. Respond quickly to emergency issues during and outside business hours if necessary (rare, but notable). Take on other tasks as assigned. You are... Experienced with a demonstrable mastery of a PHP-based web stack and MSSQL/MySQL back end, including common patterns/anti-patterns, application protocols, performance considerations, and common security hazards, and is comfortable working with front-end technologies. AI fluent and uses modern AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate delivery without sacrificing quality, and knows when AI output needs human scrutiny. Skilled in business acumen , excellent at acquiring and sharing knowledge about the business and its processes, adapting previous work experiences and knowledge. Adaptable and able to nimbly and flexibly change priorities and direction as issues arise that require adaptiveness. An excellent communicator , clearly and effectively communicating with individuals and groups in both spoken and written communication. Accountable , comfortable holding yourself and team members accountable to goals and objectives, is on time and consistent with deliverables. Filled with perspective , and an understanding of how the company's core focus, core capabilities, and priorities guide various opportunities and will act within those priorities.
