Senior Software Engineer

Job Description Insight Global is currently hiring a Sr. Software Engineer to work onsite in Chesapeake, VA. This role has an option for a hybrid work schedule following a successful training period. This individual will support an application modernization effort for a comprehensive software system utilized by the US Navy. The Sr. Software Engineer will work to identify tech debt and migrate legacy projects into newer frameworks and support structures. He/she will also be responsible for containerizing the existing applications to update the deployment flow. The position will involve 80% frontend/20% backend development, but this individual should be well-versed in full-stack development and have a keen interest in learning new technologies.

Compensation:

50-64/HR Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401K retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
