Job Description As a Software Engineer, you will have hands-on experience in manufacturing automation and a strong foundation in software development using C, C++, and C# on the Microsoft platform. As a key member of the FactoryTalk product team, you will contribute to a mission-critical application suite with components across the server, database, and front-end. You'll join a collaborative Agile development team and play a central role in both maintaining and modernizing our software architecture, evolving it to meet the future needs of industrial automation. You will report to Software Engineering Manager. You will be working fully remote.
Primary Responsibilities:
Design, implement, test, and maintain software components using C, C++, and C# in a Windows environment. Participate in the evolution of the product architecture, incorporating mainstream design patterns and technologies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, UX, product management, DevOps) to deliver high-quality features on schedule. Support full-stack development across database, server, and web components as needed. Contribute to Agile ceremonies and use tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent. Use Git/GitHub or similar tools for source control, branching strategies, and code reviews. Write clean, maintainable code and support continuous integration and delivery processes. The Essentials -

You Might Also Have:
5+ years of related work experience. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering. Proficiency in C, C++, and C#, particularly in the Microsoft development ecosystem. Experience working with and implementing manufacturing automation systems or industrial software. Familiarity with SQL Server or similar relational databases. Experience implementing and supporting high availability, multi-threaded distributed systems. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and version control systems like Git. Experience with Agile development practices and common collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, GitHub). Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering. Experience with Rockwell Automation FactoryTalk products or similar industrial control platforms. Exposure to web development technologies (.NET, REST APIs, JavaScript frameworks, etc.). Familiarity with DevOps pipelines, CI/CD tools, and automated testing frameworks.
