Overview:

Our client is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join their dynamic team in a critical role supporting the Investment Operations groups. This position requires a driven professional who can develop and maintain a diverse array of software applications that streamline investment accounting processes. Working closely with cross-functional teams, the ideal candidate will leverage their technical expertise to improve efficiency, reduce risks, and enhance business workflows in a hybrid work environment based in Boston.

Compensation:

$75.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with delivery teams to design, improve, and support applications that facilitate investment accounting functions, including cloud-based data management and user interfaces Update, optimize, and create new databaseponents to support evolving business needs Develop and refine data interfaces and ETL processes for seamless data flow Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting the production environment to ensure stability and performance Partner with IT and business stakeholders to identify opportunities for process automation and system enhancements Analyze code and data structures to inform feature development and troubleshoot problems Create user stories and establish acceptance criteria as an active participant in Agile project teams that impact investment operations

Requirements:

3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally within financial services Proficiency in modern software design principles and best practices Sound knowledge of AWS technologies such as Lambda, ECS, Aurora, and related services Hands-on experience coding with Python and C# Skilled in designing and deploying cloud-native relational and non-relational databases including Aurora, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or DynamoDB Familiarity with building and utilizing RESTful APIs Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and Test Driven Development methodologies Knowledge of UI technologies such as REACT and Node.js is a plus Previous experience working with the Appian platform Our Commitment to Inclusion & Belonging The Hollister Group is an equal opportunity employer.
