TITLE:
Sr.
IT Architect HOURS:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
DUTIES:
Evaluate new system software, review system software updates, plan the installation and testing of new versions of system software, troubleshoot software problems and advise on the correct and effective use of system software. Support the system design within the functional area and on programs/projects and ensure adherence to relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security). Contribute to the development of architectures for complex systems, ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with both external and internal customers while balancing between functional, service quality and systems management needs. Ensure that appropriate standards (corporate, industry, national and international) are adhered to. Develop and maintain the organization's strategy for managing information, ensuring that uniformly recognized and accepted data definitions are developed and applied throughout the organization. Ensure that the business processes and information required to support the organization are defined and devise appropriate standards, processes and data architectures. Evaluate the impact of any relevant statutory, internal or external regulations on the organization's use of information and develop strategies for compliance. Monitor and seek opportunities, new methods, trends, capabilities, and products to the advancement of the organization. Support the work of the governing authority/board, lead the review of management processes (and decisions) for compliance with the organization's strategy for corporate governance of information and develop architecture policies and standards. Contribute to the policies, standards and guidelines for how the organization conducts IT strategy development and planning and lead the creation or review of an IT strategy which meets the requirements of the business. Develop long-term, strategic relationships with senior stakeholders, maintain a strong understanding of industry and business and act as a subject matter expert on technology. Maintain and evolve the OMS roadmap by incorporating the company's business and IT priorities. Evaluate the new features in the product and ensure the fitment of the feature within the company. Serve as IT System Matter Expert (SME) providing technical and best practice guidance to team in Enterprise Systems space. Understand the enterprise initiatives, to transform the information to prepare solution road maps, product strategy and, architectural blueprints that outlines solutions to achieve complex business objectives. Research and evaluate technologies and commercial solutions to determine solution design options, tradeoffs, and application/vendor selection (RFP). Mentor functional and technical teams around solution architecture and design principles. Explore and recommend solutions and work-around options for production issues in timely manner. Ensure that the applications in the area follow the enterprise roadmap, best practice mandates, and compliance requirements. Prepare Solution Architecture documents for upcoming projects. Continuous improvement of processes and design. Lead and participate in yearly Annual Business Prioritization process.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or related. Eight (8) years in any occupation with IT experience, including architecture, design, and development. Eight (8) years in any occupation with IT experience, including architecture, design, and development must include: Three (3) years of leadership experience working as an Architect in Order management and Omni fulfillment area preferably leveraging IBM Sterling Order Management Suite.
Experience must also include:
Experience in modern architecture, infrastructure design, web platforms, cloud architecture, integration tools, security design, databases, and emerging technology in Omni Channel space; Retail experience in the areas of Omni channel order fulfillment/ Inventory Management/Reverse logistics/Logistics Execution/Omni channel operations; Experience working with Commence on cloud platform and Inventory visibility modules; Experience working with Sterling Intelligent Promising; and Experience in store engagement, call center and settlement modules.
TELECOMMUTING EMPLOYEE
Reports to company headquarters in Bolingbrook, IL. Can work remotely or telecommute up to 100%.
SALARY :
$184,870.40 - $185,870.40 per year
