Job Description
The Full-Stack Developer on the growth team is not a senior architect — this is a builder who can work across front-end and back-end tasks in support of the team's marketing and product initiatives. You'll be hands-on across Shopify storefronts, landing pages, email platforms, app integrations, and the technical infrastructure that underpins how the growth team measures and acts on data. You'll support the Tactical and Analytical specialists where technical implementation is needed, but you won't be the one driving campaign strategy. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain landing pages, web components, and front-end features across portfolio brands Provide technical support for email platform setup, automation sequences, and code injection where needed Support app store technical requirements across iOS and Android as needed Work alongside the existing development teams on Hunting Locator and Bluefin/Rip Line where growth-related technical work intersects Grow into broader oversight of technical implementation across the portfolio over time Candidate Profile You're moving in your career and you learn fast. You're not jaded and you're not fixed in your thinking about what a developer's job should look like. You can move between front-end and back-end work without needing to specialise in one. You're comfortable being handed a task with limited context and figuring it out. You want to build things that are actually used, not work inside a process that keeps you insulated from outcomes. This role begins as a flexible contractor engagement. The long-term intention is a full-time salaried in-office role as the team grows. We're looking for someone who sees this as a long-term opportunity, not a short-term contract. Duties Develop, test, and deploy robust websites and applications Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design user interfaces and optimise application performance for various devices and browsers. Maintain and improve existing software systems by troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and ensuring high levels of security. Work with version control systems including GitHub, SVN, and Git to manage code repositories effectively. Integrate third-party APIs and develop RESTful services to facilitate seamless data exchange across platforms. Utilise cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure to deploy scalable applications in a secure environment. Write efficient SQL queries for MySQL or SQL Server databases; manage database schema design and optimisation. Participate in code reviews, documentation, and testing procedures to uphold quality standards. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by staying current with emerging technologies like Linux environments, VBA scripting, and application development best practices. Qualifications Proven experience in full stack development with proficiency in JavaScript, Java, Python, or related frameworks. Strong understanding of front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript frameworks (React.js, Angular), alongside back-end development skills. Familiarity with version control tools such as GitHub, SVN or Git is essential. Experience working with APIs (RESTful services) and integrating third-party services into applications. Knowledge of cloud computing platforms including AWS and Azure for deployment purposes. Solid understanding of database management systems like MySQL or SQL Server; ability to write optimised queries. Ability to develop software using .NET framework or VBA scripting is advantageous. Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with strong organisational abilities; capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously. A recognised degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science or related field is preferred but not mandatory. This role offers an engaging environment for developers eager to advance their careers by working on cutting-edge technology solutions within a collaborative team setting.
