Verizon is seeking Unified Communications Engineers to support UC Engineering and Operational support on the US Navy NMCI UC Infrastructure. The Unified Communication Engineer will serve as subject matter expert OPS support and Service Delivery within Navy Enterprise VoIP, VTC and general Unified Collaboration support. Candidate will utilize a broad knowledge of unified communications, network, server, and telecommunications to design, configure, implement and troubleshooting of Navy's unified communications systems and applications. Responsibilities include Tier III resolution and support Tier IV, varying implementation projects, troubleshooting and resolving problems.

Responsibilities will include: Working as part of UC Team to maintain enterprise Cisco voice, video, presence systems. Understanding the codecs, protocols of Cisco and Ribbon technologies. Implementing of Cisco / Ribbon gateways. Helping with basic Network troubleshooting. Creating, maintaining and updating documentation of voice/video systems. Supporting IP communication networks in operations. Mentoring and developing junior personnel. What we're looking for... You'll need to have: Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Four or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience. Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain it. Located near a NAVY base (i.e. San Diego or Norfolk, etc)
