Key Responsibilities:
Lead proof-of-technology activities, including tool evaluation, architecture validation, and pilot execution for mobile vulnerability scanning and compliance. Define success criteria and develop test plans for automated mobile scanning tools (agent-based/agentless, API-driven). Evaluate security tools like Qualys Mobile VMDR, Lookout, Workspace ONE, Jamf Pro, and similar platforms. Execute pilot projects across diverse device populations, validating vulnerability detection and configuration compliance. Establish and maintain mobile vulnerability lifecycle processes—discovery, assessment, remediation, and reporting. Develop and enforce security configurations and policies for iOS/iPadOS and Android devices. Integrate security tools with enterprise platforms such as SIEM, SOAR, ITSM, and asset management systems. Collaborate with security, compliance, and operations teams to ensure regulatory adherence (e.g., NYDFS). Automate data collection, analysis, and remediation workflows using scripting and APIs. Provide technical guidance, documentation, and training to operational teams. Maintain awareness of industry frameworks (NIST, CIS, ISO27001) to ensure compliance and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Solid understanding of iOS/iPadOS and Android security models, including patching, permissions, jailbreak/root detection, and app ecosystems. Extensive experience with vulnerability management processes (CVEs, patch lifecycle, risk assessment, metrics). Proficiency with mobile security and compliance tools (Qualys Mobile VMDR, Lookout, Workspace ONE, Jamf Pro, or equivalents). Hands-on MDM experience with Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE, Jamf Pro, or similar platforms. Strong skills in API integration, data normalization, and automation with
SIEM/SOAR/ITSM
systems (Splunk, ServiceNow, etc.). Knowledge of identity and access controls, including conditional access, MFA, device compliance, and posturing. Scripting expertise with PowerShell, Python, REST APIs, JSON, and OAuth. Ability to produce clear technical documentation, operational runbooks, and architecture diagrams. Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and communication skills. Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related fields; relevant certifications (CISSP, Security+, GIAC, ITIL) are a plus. 5+ years in cybersecurity or endpoint security, with at least 2 years focused on mobile security and compliance.
