Job Description

PURVIS is seeing a talented Software Developer to join our team. The Software Developer will work closely with a team of developers on integrated standalone applications in a Linux environment using Agile development methodologies and tools. \n The day-to-day responsibilities for this role include: The candidate will be responsible collaboration with team members, software tasking and managing tickets/repositories. The position requires creative thinking and problem-solving. Ideal candidates will also have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering/technical degree with a concentration in computer science. Experience should include 2 to 4 years in software engineering including requirements analysis, problem analysis and resolution, design, and development. Candidates will have the following skills: Developing software in C++ in a Linux environment. Ideally, experience using the Qt Framework and Qt Creator IDE for developing Graphical User Interface (GUI) layouts. Ability to modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, upgrade interfaces and/or improve performance. Familiarity with Agile Development methodology the associated tools. Experience using Atlassian tools a plus. Writing software requirements and design documentation. \n Candidate must have or be able to obtain a government security clearance to the level of SECRET.
