Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Sr. UX Architect within our team. Please note that this position requires a commitment to full-time employment and is not open to contractors.
Key Responsibilities:
Take ownership of the UX Design System
Lead the end-to-end UX design process, from wireframing to Component Library.
Lead UX designers through user personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes to guide design efforts
Translate business and user requirements into intuitive user flows, journey maps, and interactive designs
Create wireframes, mock-ups, interactive prototypes, and detailed UI specifications
Take a leadership role with Engineering to manage the Component Library and promote efficient UI development processes.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Product Owners, Developers, BAs, and other Designers
Maintain and evolve design systems, ensuring consistency across products
Advocate for user needs while balancing business goals and technical constraints
Analyze user feedback and data to identify areas for improvement in existing products.
Stay up to date with the latest UX trends, tools, and best practices
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
9+ years of professional experience in UX/UI design, preferably in product-oriented environments
Demonstrated experience working with B2B applications and transactional applications.
Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design skills, including wireframes, prototypes, and final UX designs
Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
Familiar with building design systems and component libraries from scratch using tools like Figma, including components, styles, and guidelines.
Deep understanding of usability principles, interaction design, and accessibility standards.
Ability to clearly communicate design ideas and rationale to stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of how to leverage AI tools to enhance the UX design process.
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
Understanding of HTML, CSS and Javascript, and UI frameworks like Vue and React.
Strong critical thinking skills and diligence.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
The wage range for this role reflects the wide array of factors considered in compensation decisions. These factors include, but are not limited to, skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. Compensation decisions are based on the unique facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the annual range is $180,000 - $200,000.
This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. It is classified as exempt under applicable law. Additionally, this position aligns with the Voyatek Career Framework as a level 06 individual contributorin an App/Tech Architecture position.
