What You'd Do In This Role We're looking for a high-impact Senior Software Engineer to help build and scale a new product squad within our Ramsey Trusted Protections team. You'll design and deliver robust, scalable systems, spanning APIs, services, and user experiences that power how millions of users connect with trusted providers. This role sits at the intersection of architecture, product, and mission. You'll turn complex business problems into durable technical solutions that are reliable, observable, and built to evolve. The outcome isn't just better software, it's measurable life change, delivered through digital experiences that help people confidently protect their families and financial future. You're Probably a Match If You have 7+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, with a track record of increasing ownership and impact. You bring strong backend experience, full-stack capability, or frontend expertise paired with a solid understanding of APIs and system design. You think in systems, not just components, and can reason about how frontend, backend, and services interact at scale. You have a track record of owning and delivering complex, production-grade systems that drive real business impact. You demonstrate strong architectural judgment and can make clear, pragmatic trade-offs between speed, scalability, and long-term maintainability. You write clean, defensive, and maintainable code, and prioritize reliability, observability, and performance by default. You naturally take ownership, seeing problems through from discovery to delivery to long-term support. You proactively identify gaps, reduce ambiguity, and drive clarity in both systems and processes. You have experience designing and working with REST APIs and understand how to build clean, scalable service boundaries. You actively mentor and invest in other engineers, raising the bar through teaching, pairing, and feedback. You're a strong communicator who can influence technical direction and connect engineering decisions to business outcomes. You have a clear hunger for learning and staying current with technology trends, you're actively exploring new tools, patterns, and approaches. You're already experimenting with or actively using AI tools (e.g., Claude Code, OpenAI APIs) to improve how you and your team build software. Bringing strong architectural clarity to ambiguous problems, helping the team make better long-term decisions. Ensuring systems are observable, resilient, and easy to support through solid monitoring and operational practices. Consistently delivering high-quality, reliable software with strong testing, documentation, and long-term maintainability. Partnering closely with Product, Design, and Business to turn ambiguous problems into clear, effective solutions. Owning systems end-to-end, with a focus on accountability, performance, and continuous improvement.
