Sr. Appian Developer

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Appian Developer with strong expertise in Oracle database design and development to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing, developing, and deploying business process management (BPM) applications using the Appian platform while ensuring robust integration with Oracle databases. This role requires a blend of low-code application development, database design, and performance optimization skills to deliver scalable enterprise solutions. Required Experience (5+ years): Hands-on Appian development experience, including Appian SAIL, process models, and Appian plug-ins. Strong experience in Oracle database design and development, including schema design, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. Experience with Appian integrations (e.g., web services, REST APIs, Appian-Oracle connectors). Proficiency in performance tuning, indexing strategies, and Oracle query optimization. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices (CI/CD, automated testing, etc.). Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with excellent communication abilities.

Preferred Certifications:

Appian Certified Associate Developer or Appian Certified Senior Developer Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate Oracle Database Administrator Certified Professional (OCP)

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy Appian BPM applications, including process models, rules, interfaces, integrations, and data structures. Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and analysts to translate requirements into functional Appian solutions. Design and optimize Oracle database schemas, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support Appian applications. Develop and maintain integrations between Appian and Oracle databases, ensuring data consistency and high performance. Ensure compliance with best practices for database normalization, indexing, performance tuning, and security. Troubleshoot application and database issues, providing timely resolutions. Document technical designs, workflows, and configurations for both Appian applications and Oracle database solutions. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos. Mentor junior developers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
