Work extensively with Apache Spark and Scala to build and optimize ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows that process large volumes of data from sources such as Hive and Google BigQuery. Create new Hive tables and Druid data sources to support new metrics, features, or reporting requirements. Use Automic, an enterprise-grade orchestration tool, to automate job execution across development, QA, and production environments. Monitor Spark jobs and troubleshoot issues such as memory failures, fetch exceptions, or incorrect outputs. Analyze YARN logs, Spark history, and DAG visualizations to identify the root cause and apply optimization techniques like repartitioning, broadcast joins, persistence, and caching to improve performance and prevent job failures. Create and manage Change Requests (CRQs) using ServiceNow, documenting implementation steps, validation procedures, and rollback plans. Work under Supervision. Travel and/or relocation to unanticipated client sites throughout the USA is required.
Primary Requirements:
Masters degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology/IS or closely related field.
