Job Description

Powering the process behind every home Every home we build is supported by systems that work—thanks to our Software Team. As a Software Engineer at Betenbough, you'll help design and build the technology that connects our teams, streamlines our processes, and supports the experience we deliver to every homebuyer. You won't just write code—you'll create tools that bring clarity, improve accuracy, and make complex processes feel seamless. How your work shows up We design custom software, build smart integrations, and create tools that connect sales, construction, and warranty into one unified system.
That means your work will:
Support real teams doing real work every day Help connect departments into one seamless process Improve how we serve both our customers and our internal teams Turn complex workflows into simple, effective solutions You won't be removed from the impact—you'll see it. How you'll contribute Build, test, and deploy software that improves how our teams operate day to day Write clean, well-designed, and testable code in a collaborative, continuously integrated environment Follow coding standards, testing practices, and quality assurance processes Collaborate with teams across departments to solve problems and optimize workflows Communicate progress, challenges, and solutions clearly and respectfully Create documentation and training that helps others confidently use what you build Learn the homebuilding business and the systems that support it Why this role matters We're not just writing code—we're enhancing connection, improving accuracy, and making the complex simple.

The kind of person who thrives here Enjoys solving problems and simplifying complex systems Is motivated by building technology that serves people Collaborates well across teams and communicates clearly Takes ownership and follows through with excellence Is curious, adaptable, and eager to keep learning Values clean code, thoughtful design, and continuous improvement Required qualifications Must be eligible to work in the United States Betenbough is not sponsoring work visas or transfers for this role Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT-related field, or equivalent experience Understanding of Object-Oriented Programming using one or more of the following: C#, VB.NET, Java, or C Fluency in at least one of the following: C#, Java, or JavaScript Knowledge of team software development lifecycle and release processes Strong desire to learn new software development skills Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and customers Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly Ability to document, verbalize, and organize ideas clearly Preferred qualifications Experience or familiarity with: .NET Core .
