Dell USA L.P. is seeking a Senior Manager, Site Reliability Engineering for our Round Rock, TX facility.
Duties:
Provide oversight for multiple Dell Cloud Service teams of engineering professionals that help drive scalability, resiliency and reliability of managed IT services. Manage multiple teams dedicated to proactively building reliability into managed services. Liaise with the product team on product/solution features and specifications to ensure alignment of site reliability engineering (SRE) toolsets and solutions with overall Dell standards, Leverage knowledge of IT operations and other software development skills, work across all functional areas gathering inputs, updating product plans and roadmaps, and prioritizing features and tools, while applying budgets, timelines and other constraints. Refine and deliver requirements for service enhancements with product engineering teams and collaborate with key Cloud Services Product Managers and stakeholders. Collaborate with DevOps / DevSecOps teams proactively to build reliability into their services without disrupting the CI/CD pipeline. Ensure that SRE teams are continuously improving the management automation of Dells service offerings, collaborating effectively with SRE teams within the wider Dell Technologies organization. Operate as the technical leader within a global team that defines, measures, and optimizes SLIs, SLOs, and budgets for product offerings. Create, manage, and utilize pipelines to deploy to globally isolated customer environments. Participate in on-call support and work through all aspects of the incident management process, including orchestrating post-mortems. Operate in an ever-evolving landscape of product offerings to deliver first-class service to customers and work closely with customer-facing Support Teams to help evolve, train, and empower them to support customers directly. Participate in the Agile Communities of Practice to help foster and grow the adoption of the Agile way of working within the organization.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field and 10 years of experience in a Software Engineer or related occupation. Or, alternatively, a Masters degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field and 8 years of experience in a Software Engineer or related occupation.
Experience must include:
Angular; ASP.Net Web API; ASP.Net Core; C#; MS SQL, REDIS, Mongo; Pivotal Cloud Foundry; Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ; Splunk and Dynatrace; Glassbox; and Microservice Architecture.
