          We are seeking a Senior Application Architect to join our IT and Enterprise Architecture team. This role is responsible for defining and guiding enterprise application architecture that supports business strategy, digital transformation, operational stability, and long-term scalability. You must be able to navigate through ambiguity through a large organizational transformational initiative. The Senior Application Architect will partner with business and technology teams to design secure, integrated, and supportable application solutions across enterprise platforms, with a strong emphasis on the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. This individual will help establish architecture standards, guide modernization efforts, and provide technical leadership across strategic initiatives.
          Key Responsibilities:
          • Define and maintain enterprise application architecture principles, standards, and target-state roadmaps
          • Lead architecture design for enterprise applications, APIs, integrations, middleware, and shared services
          • Partner with business and IT stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable application solutions
          • Support application modernization, cloud adoption, and hybrid architecture initiatives
          • Establish standards for integration, APIs, microservices, event-driven architecture, and interoperability
          • Ensure solutions align with cybersecurity, privacy, compliance, resilience, and operational requirements
          • Participate in architecture reviews and provide guidance to project, application, and development teams
          • Evaluate technologies and recommend scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions aligned with enterprise strategy
          REQUIREMENTS
          • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
          • 8+ years of experience in application architecture, solution architecture, software engineering, or related IT roles
          • 5+ years of experience designing application solutions in Microsoft Azure
          • Strong experience with enterprise application design, APIs, integration architecture, and modern software patterns
          • Knowledge of Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure SQL, and Key Vault
          • Understanding of cloud-native and hybrid application architecture principles
          • Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders
          Preferred Qualifications:
          • Experience with AKS, DevOps, CI/CD, containers, and infrastructure-as-code
          • Familiarity with TOGAF or other enterprise architecture frameworks
          • Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Developer Associate
          • Experience in large, complex, or regulated enterprise environments

          • Strong alignment between business priorities and application technology strategy The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.
          We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
