Mainframe Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Westlake, TX that is seeking a Mainframe Engineer.

Duties:

• Deploy and support software releases into production environments
• Employ your data security skills to keep our customers' information safe

REQUIREMENTS

• 8+ years of software development experience in business critical, enterprise-wide applications
• Mainframe development expertise in

COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2 & VSAM

• Knowledge of distributed technologies would be a plus
• Ability to perform detailed analysis and documentation for maintenance and improvement projects in the batch and online environments
• Detailed and thorough with unit, functional and regression testing
• Confidence to think and act strategically, share innovative insights, and offer creative solutions to deliver exceptional user experiences
• Proven strong interpersonal and organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills
• Adopt flexibility and shift focus to meet the most pressing customer/client needs The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role.

We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
