Job Description

Senior Software Developer & IT Lead Company:
PathRight Medical Role Type:
Full-time Location:
Orem, UT 84057 About the Role PathRight Medical is looking for a highly capable, AI-forward Senior Software Developer and IT Lead to help us build, improve, and manage a wide range of software and technology projects across the company. This is a hands-on, flexible role for someone who can move quickly, solve practical problems, and work independently across software development, mobile apps, website design, IT systems, computer security, and device-related technology needs. We are looking for a "Swiss Army knife" technical person who enjoys using modern AI coding tools to produce high-quality work quickly. The ideal candidate is comfortable using tools like Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI-assisted development platforms. They should know how to use AI to accelerate development while still applying strong engineering judgment, testing, security awareness, and code quality standards. Over time, this person may grow into managing a small software or technical project team. Key Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android.
  • Design, improve, and manage company websites and web-based tools.
  • Develop internal software tools, dashboards, automations, and workflows.
  • Support general IT needs across the company, including computers, devices, accounts, permissions, and software systems.
  • Help evaluate and improve computer security, data protection, and access control.
  • Work on device-related software, integrations, and technical troubleshooting as needed.
  • Use AI coding tools to rapidly prototype, build, test, and iterate on software projects.
  • Collaborate with leadership to define project requirements, timelines, and priorities.
  • Work independently from a broad goal and turn it into a finished technical solution.
  • Document systems, processes, and code so future team members can maintain them.
  • Eventually help manage outside contractors, junior developers, or a small internal software/project team. Required Qualifications
  • Strong senior software development experience with modern programming languages and frameworks.
  • Experience building mobile apps, websites, or web applications.
  • Comfortable working across both software development and practical IT support.
  • Experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar tools.
  • Ability to work independently, make good technical decisions, and ask clear questions when needed.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to take on varied technical projects.
  • Understanding of basic cybersecurity, device management, and IT best practices.
  • Comfortable moving quickly while still testing and reviewing work carefully. Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with React Native, Expo, TypeScript, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Experience in medical device, healthcare, regulated industries, or security-conscious environments.
  • Experience managing software projects or leading other developers.
  • Familiarity with cloud services, databases, APIs, automation tools, and deployment workflows.
  • Interest in building practical tools that improve company operations.
Ideal Candidate You are a hands-on builder who enjoys solving real business problems with technology. You like using AI to move faster, but you also understand that good software still requires judgment, testing, structure, and security. You are flexible enough to fix an IT issue in the morning, build a mobile app feature in the afternoon, and help plan a company software roadmap the next day. Compensation Compensation will be based on experience, skill level, and fit for the role.
