About INW Solutions INW Solutions is a technology solutions provider specializing in networking, cybersecurity, cloud, collaboration, physical security, and managed services. We help customers design, implement, support, and modernize critical technology environments across commercial, education, public sector, and regulated industries. We are seeking a customer-focused, technically capable Physical Security Solutions Engineer to help grow and support our expanding physical security practice. Position Overview This is not a traditional engineering role. The Physical Security Solutions Engineer serves as both a technical consultant and implementation engineer, supporting customers from initial discovery through solution deployment. The ideal candidate is comfortable meeting with customers, conducting site assessments, designing solutions, developing scopes of work, supporting sales opportunities, and participating in implementation and support activities. This individual will play a key role in the continued growth of INW's physical security practice and will work closely with sales, engineering, project management, and manufacturer partners. What Success Looks Like Within the first 12 months, this individual will: Become a trusted technical advisor to customers and account managers Lead discovery sessions and site assessments for physical security opportunities Design scalable and supportable surveillance and access control solutions Contribute to the continued growth of INW's physical security practice Develop strong relationships with manufacturers and strategic partners Support recurring services and managed services opportunities Deliver projects that meet customer expectations and INW quality standards Primary Responsibilities Presales Engineering & Solution Design Conduct customer discovery meetings and site assessments Gather business, operational, and technical requirements Develop solution architectures and technical recommendations Create bills of material and assist with proposal development Present and demonstrate solutions to customers Provide technical guidance during sales engagements Identify project risks, assumptions, and dependencies Support account managers throughout the sales process Technical Delivery & Implementation Configure and deploy physical security solutions Assist with system testing, commissioning, and validation Perform troubleshooting and remediation activities Provide customer training and knowledge transfer Develop and maintain project documentation Support lifecycle management and ongoing optimization efforts Practice Development Support growth of INW's physical security business Maintain manufacturer certifications and technical knowledge Develop repeatable standards and best practices Identify managed services opportunities Participate in vendor training, partner programs, and technical enablement activities Assist with strategic planning and development of the physical security practice Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience with video surveillance, access control, or physical security technologies Experience participating in customer-facing technical discussions Experience gathering requirements and developing technical solutions Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to perform site assessments and technical discovery Experience creating technical documentation and scopes of work Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites as needed Preferred Qualifications Experience with one or more of the following: Verkada Axis Communications Genetec Avigilon Milestone Brivo Openpath Gallagher LenelS2 Software House C CURE Physical security design and implementation Access control systems Video surveillance systems Structured cabling and low-voltage systems Manufacturer certifications are highly desirable but not required.
