Job Description

Everforth ECS is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to work in the National Capital Region covering the Pentagon, Falls Church, and Fairfax.
Please Note:
This position is contingent upon contract award.

The War Data Platform (WDP) is a key initiative within the U.S. Department of War's (DoW) AI-First strategy introduced in early 2026. The WDP separates business and financial data from operational warfighting data, aiming to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) on the battlefield. The WDP extends to Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret environments, and supports collaboration between Combatant Commands, Joint Staff directorates, Senior Executive Service leaders, and operational analysts.
  • The Senior Solution Architect serves as WDP Core Integration's principal enterprise architecture leader, responsible for translating complex, multi-domain operational mission requirements into scalable, secure, and interoperable system architectures across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS environments.
This role drives architectural governance, technology selection, and cross-program integration design to ensure WDP components are deployed consistently and compliantly across all classification tiers in direct support of warfighter decision advantage and Joint Force mission outcomes.
  • Leads the design and governance of enterprise technical solutions supporting War Data Platform (WDP) Core Integration objectives across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS environments, translating operational mission requirements into scalable, secure, and interoperable system architectures aligned with Government-provided enterprise architecture guidance.
  • Drives enterprise architecture development activities required under WDP by defining system architectures, integration patterns, and migration strategies that support parity across Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret environments while enabling secure cross-domain operational workflows.
  • Develops and maintains authoritative architecture artifacts including system context diagrams, integration architectures, interface control specifications, and engineering models using Government-provided tools such as MS Visio, Draw.io, and MS Teams collaboration workflows to ensure alignment with WDP architecture objectives.
  • Leads architecture evaluations and technology selection through structured alternatives analyses leveraging cloud service benchmarks, cybersecurity requirements, and enterprise integration frameworks to identify components suitable for multi-domain deployment across defense networks.
  • Coordinates closely with Government stakeholders, architecture contractors, and program leadership through enterprise architecture review boards to validate architectural compliance with mission requirements, cross-program dependencies, and operational constraints across Combatant Command, Joint Staff, and federal mission partner environments.
  • Guides engineering teams through implementation planning, migration sequencing, and integration design activities to ensure WDP components are deployed consistently across NIPRNet, SIPRNet, and JWICS infrastructure.
  • Produces comprehensive architecture documentation, engineering assessments, and technical decision records that strengthen traceability, reduce integration risk, and support program governance.
  • Advances enterprise architecture maturity by recommending design improvements that enhance system resilience, operational interoperability, and mission effectiveness across the War Data Platform ecosystem.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Current Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise architecture, solution architecture, or systems engineering within a federal, defense, or government contracting environment, with demonstrated senior-level expertise leading architecture design, governance, and integration activities across large-scale, mission-critical government or defense platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining authoritative enterprise architecture artifacts — including system context diagrams, integration architectures, interface control documents, and technology migration plans — aligned to Government-provided architecture frameworks and cross-domain interoperability requirements spanning Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret environments.
  • Proven ability to lead structured technology selection and alternatives analysis processes, including cloud service benchmarking, cybersecurity requirements assessment, and enterprise integration framework evaluation, with experience presenting and defending architectural recommendations through formal governance bodies such as engineering control boards and architecture review boards.
  • Experience guiding cross-functional engineering teams through implementation planning, enclave-specific migration sequencing, and API integration design activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate across concurrent development workstreams spanning systems architecture, DevSecOps pipelines, AI/ML deployment, cybersecurity engineering, and user interface development in multi-classification environments.
  • Familiarity with DoW enterprise architecture standards, the DoW Zero Trust Reference Architecture, and the DoW Risk Management Framework (RMF), including experience applying classification-specific architecture controls, parity requirements, and cross-domain solution design principles across IL2, IL5, IL6, and JWICS infrastructure environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management).
