TS/SCI US
Government security clearance and FSP to join a small agile team designing, developing, and maintaining secure, scalable software solutions for government customers. The team is fast-paced, collaborative, and cohesive, and depends on team members to communicate openly and to design solutions and deliver quality models on a regular, aggressive clip. The software engineering will translate mission requirements into technical specifications and implement robust, maintainable code. Conduct code reviews, unit testing, and integration testing to ensure software quality and security compliance. Support DevSecOps pipelines and CI/CD processes for rapid and secure deployment. Your role and responsibilities As a Data Scientist with Advanced Analytics skills, you will leverage deep data and analytics expertise with strong business acumen to address business challenges. You will utilize data preparation, analysis, and predictive modeling to forecast trends and suggest optimizations for improved business outcomes.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Develop Predictive Models:
Design and implement predictive models using mathematical optimization, discrete-event simulation, and rules programming to drive business optimization. This includes utilizing tools like IBM CPLEX and Gurobi for optimization and SPSS, SAS, R, and Python for statistical analysis. •
Analyze Diverse Data:
Manage and analyze diverse data types and structures using programming languages like Python and development environments such as PyCharm, VS Code, and Jupyter Notebooks. This involves data manipulation with Pandas, NumPy, and Dask, and data visualization with Matplotlib, Seaborn, and Plotly. •
Deliver Data-Driven Insights:
Utilize data preparation, analysis, and predictive modeling to forecast trends and suggest optimizations for improved business outcomes. This includes applying machine learning, statistical modeling, and custom models in applications like supply chain management, pricing, risk assessment, and fraud detection. • Collaborate on
Solution Delivery:
Work collaboratively to deliver data-driven solutions, ensuring effective data management and analysis to inform business decision-making. •
Maintain Technical Expertise:
Stay up-to-date with industry-leading tools and technologies, including version control systems like Git, GitHub, and GitLab, and continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) tools like Docker, Podman, and Jenkins. Required education Bachelor's Degree Preferred education Master's Degree Required technical and professional expertise US Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance and in-scope full-scope polygraph required on Day 1 Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related technical field. 3+ years of experience in software development, preferably in federal or defense environments. Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++). Experience with secure coding practices and working in classified environments. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS GovCloud, Azure Government) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and version control (Git). Must be willing to work 5 days per week in SCIF in Annapolis Junction, MD Preferred technical and professional experience 1+ year of experience conducting software engineering work on AWS classified cloud architecture. Certifications such as Security+, AWS Certified Developer, or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD). Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible). Experience working within a high-performance compute environment.
