Job Description

Role Summary Design, build, and enhance cloud-enabled software applications that support aviation operations and modernization efforts for mission-critical programs. This senior software developer role focuses on secure, scalable solutions and close collaboration with engineering, architecture, cybersecurity, and program stakeholders. You will translate requirements into maintainable code, validate functionality through testing, and support integration into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines. The position operates within a federal compliance environment and directly contributes to safe, reliable air travel. Responsibilities Support technical design activities and participate in architecture and design reviews Develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software applications for aviation programs Translate system and business requirements into well-structured, maintainable code Conduct peer code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices Collaborate with systems engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and product stakeholders to meet application requirements Develop and execute unit, integration, and regression tests to validate functionality and performance Support application integration into CI/CD and DevSecOps pipelines Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, performance issues, and system integration challenges Contribute to documentation, including technical design artifacts, user guides, and compliance materials Ensure solutions align with federal compliance requirements, security standards, and performance objectives Qualifications This position requires eligibility for a U.S. Government security clearance. In accordance with federal law, U.S. citizenship is required. Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience, or Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or Associate's degree with 7 years of experience, or high school/equivalent with 9 years of experience Experience developing software using modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or similar Experience designing and developing applications in cloud or hybrid environments Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevSecOps practices Experience developing RESTful APIs and working within microservices architectures Ability to perform and support secure software development aligned to compliance and security standards Experience working with cloud platforms such as
AWS, Azure, or GCP Publishing Pay Range:
$49.00 - $52.00 hourly This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
