Application Developer- (Senior)

Applications Developer - Senior Nightwing is currently seeking a Senior Application Developer with a focus on a DevOps discipline in Herndon, VA, to work on a suite of services that will supply users with tools to automate a wide range of enterprise-wide applications and data-centric mission management applications. The candidate will assist teams in designing, building, testing, and deploying changes to existing software. Enhance the company's IT infrastructure security protocols. Identify manual processes that can be automated. Provide recommendations for the organization's entire IT infrastructure to make changes and improvements. Maintain and improve the company's cloud infrastructure Development will take place iteratively using an Agile development methodology, with input from all levels of stakeholders. The candidate must have the ability to communicate with project team members, the user community, and leadership to assess changes and demonstrate iterative progress. This position will include a variety of activities, including:

• Performing Server upgrades & security patch maintenance on AWS C2S and standalone servers
• Familiarization with implementing Rapid7 scans into Greenlight for system security reviews and vulnerability assessments with the Rapid7 audit and policy scanning tool
• Maintain multiple webpages on the Confluence platform featuring images, installations, and troubleshooting using administrative permissions.
• Installation and configuration of AWS EC2 solutions ensuring scalability and security
• Deliver system troubleshooting and escalations in support of enterprise-level data centers and Authority to Operate (ATO) assessments
