Job Description

We are seeking an experienced electrical engineer or embedded systems engineer to join our team and work on the design and development of wireless data acquisition products. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming in C/C++, as well as experience in the development and understanding of miniature power-constrained electronic systems. MicroStrain is a subsidiary of HBK located near Burlington, Vermont USA. Primary Responsibilities Design and develop wireless data acquisition products Develop and implement firmware in C/C++ for microcontrollers and embedded systems Work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion Conduct testing and analysis to verify product performance Participate in design reviews and provide input for design improvements Maintain accurate documentation of design processes and results Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field Proficiency in programming in C/C++ for microcontrollers and embedded systems Strong understanding of miniature power-constrained electronic systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation Personal skills Entrepreneurial, innovative, and customer-oriented mindset void of departmental or silo thinking Comfortable working on a variety of problems including technical, cultural, and interpersonal Motivated by making change happen Enthusiasm for technical contexts Career aspirations, with a desire for career progression A people person with high levels of emotional intelligence Change management trained and experienced with business transitions Project management experience One Company - HBK MicroStrain is a leading developer of inertial sensors and wireless instrumentation systems based just outside Burlington Vermont.
