Full-Time Position Overview Horizon Distribution Inc. is looking for a Junior Software Developer / DevOps Support team member to join our team in Yakima. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in software development, automation, logistics technology, and working with legacy systems. You will work with our team to help improve internal software tools and support systems that help run our distribution business. You will assist in building and maintaining systems that support distribution workflows, vendor integrations, and e-commerce platforms at Horizon Distribution. Key Responsibilities Help maintain and improve internal software tools Assist with small development projects and system updates Help automate manual tasks and workflows where possible Support integrations between internal systems and vendor platforms Troubleshoot technical issues and help keep systems running smoothly Work with team members to improve business processes using technology Basic Qualifications Interest in software development, IT systems, or automation Basic familiarity with programming or scripting such as Java, Perl, Python, JavaScript, COBOL, or similar Basic understanding of computers, networks, or Linux environments Willingness to learn and solve technical problems Ability to work in an in-office team environment Helpful but Not Required Coursework or training in computer science, information systems, or programming Experience with Git, APIs, or simple scripting Personal programming projects or technical hobbies Interest in logistics, supply chain, or business systems Exposure to legacy systems or older business software What You'll Gain Hands-on experience working with real business systems Opportunity to develop software and automation skills Experience supporting technology used in distribution and logistics Mentorship and opportunities to grow into more advanced technical roles Work Environment This position is in-office at our Yakima location and works closely with operations and management to help improve internal systems.
