Company Description SERVPRO of Southeast Milwaukee and Southeast Waukesha Counties provides restoration and cleaning services for homes and businesses, including water damage, mold remediation, storm recovery, and biohazard cleaning. As a trusted local leader in the restoration industry, the team uses specialized training, equipment, and techniques to address a wide range of emergencies. The company offers 24-hour service and responds quickly to both residential and commercial needs in the communities it serves. When severe weather causes flooding or water damage, SERVPRO performs full water extraction and related restoration work. Team members work in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment focused on helping customers recover from unexpected events. Role Description The Filemaker Developer Intern is a full-time, on-site role based in South Milwaukee, WI. This intern supports the development, maintenance, and improvement of Filemaker-based applications used to manage restoration projects and business operations. Day-to-day tasks may include assisting with database design and layout updates, creating and modifying scripts, testing new features, troubleshooting user issues, and documenting system changes. The role also involves collaborating with office and field staff to understand workflow needs, gathering requirements, and suggesting enhancements that improve efficiency and data accuracy. The intern will learn and apply best practices in database development while contributing to real-world solutions that support the company's restoration services. Qualifications Foundational understanding of databases and data modeling, preferably with exposure to Filemaker or similar platforms (e.g., SQL-based systems). Basic programming or scripting skills, such as experience with any modern language or scripting environment used for automation or application development. Ability to analyze processes, gather requirements, and translate business needs into practical technical solutions. Strong attention to detail, including careful testing, documentation, and follow-through on assigned tasks. Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with non-technical team members in an on-site environment. Comfort working in a fast-paced business that supports emergency restoration services and changing priorities. Enrollment in or completion of coursework in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred. Willingness to learn, take feedback, and develop skills in Filemaker development and general IT best practices.
