Software EngineerLocation:

Monroe, WI - Onsite 5 days a weekPosition OverviewWe are seeking a Software Engineer with strong experience building backend systems using .NET Core and designing RESTful APIs. In this role you will develop and maintain scalable, reliable services, collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features, and contribute to system design and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate is pragmatic, quality-focused, and comfortable working in a modern cloud-enabled development environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, and maintain backend services and APIs using .NET Core.

Build well-documented, versioned RESTful APIs and ensure consistency, performance, and security.

Participate in architectural discussions and contribute ideas for improving scalability, reliability, and maintainability of services.

Write clean, modular, and testable code; create and maintain unit and integration tests.

Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes.

Collaborate with product managers, frontend developers, QA, and DevOps to deliver features end-to-end.

Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation to improve deployment velocity and quality.

Review code and mentor junior engineers to uphold coding standards and best practices.

QualificationsBachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Proven hands-on experience with .NET Core and C# in production environments.

Strong experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and working with HTTP-based services.

Solid understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.

Experience with automated testing, CI/CD practices, and source control (Git).Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have: experience with microservices architecture and domain-driven design.
