SW Engineering Manager / Embedded / Orlando, FL

• You will be a Engineering & Technology \(E&T\) Manager in the Orlando Software Engineering Department\.

This role is responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, and hardware/software integration and verification\. The individual will develop embedded software in C\+\+ and Linux operating system in an Agile environment using JIRA, Git and Confluence\. The individual will need to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development lifecycle\. • What You Will Be Doing
• As the Embedded Software Engineering Manager you will lead the embedded software effort, driving end‑to‑end software delivery for embedded C\+\+/Linux applications in an Agile environment\.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: + Maintain and evolve software libraries for tactical components and operational environments\. + Define, design, code, test, integrate, and verify embedded simulation software using JIRA, Git, and Confluence\. + Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team, providing technical coaching, career development, and performance feedback\. + Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities while ensuring adherence to standards, processes, and tools\. + Lead recruitment, training, salary planning, and competency development; act as the technical conscience for the program\.
