Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
This is a hands-on Software Development Specialist role focused on the analysis, design, and development of application capabilities. The ideal candidate will possess deep experience with the Java/J2EE ecosystem, be well-versed in SAML-based Single Sign-On and JWT technologies, and have a proven ability to design and develop highly available, mission-critical applications. The role requires a strong sense of urgency, end-to-end ownership, and the ability to work independently with guidance from leadership. Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, unit test, and document application functionality using Agile development practices.
  • Support application production installs.
  • Participate in the entire Agile Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Interface with product owners, business analysts, and deployment teams. Required Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in Java, Microservices development, JUnit, and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).
  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in system design principles.
  • 7-10 years of demonstrated experience with unit testing and mocking strategies.
  • Must show a sense of urgency and take end-to-end ownership of tasks.
  • Must be a self-starter and work independently with direction from a Principal Engineer or Engineering Manager.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
