Job Description
Rocket Software, Inc. is looking to fill a Associate Software Engineering Manager position reporting to Rogers, Arkansas (May telecommute part of time from home residence within Rogers, AR metropolitan area). Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in computer science, management information systems, or a related field and 10 years' progressively responsible experience in an IT-related occupation. Experience must include the following specific experience and skills:
10 years' automation quality assurance experience
5 years' experience with UniVerse and UniData as well as programming experience in MultiValue (PICK) Basic Language
5 years' experience using all of the following platforms: Linux, Unix, Windows.
2 years' experience in Agile development methodologies
2 years' experience in DevOps
1 year experience managing a team of quality engineers
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to deal professionally and collaboratively with all levels of the organization and across geographies
As the Associate Software Engineering Manager for MultiValue products, lead a global team of quality engineers focused on automation and ensuring the quality of enterprise MultiValue solutions, specifically targeting UniVerse and UniData. Play a crucial part in driving ongoing enhancements in quality for these products, aligning with the dynamic needs of our global customer base. Utilize a deep understanding of UniVerse and UniData, coupled with outstanding leadership, enthusiasm, and a growth mindset.
Lead and manage the QA team within the MultiValue group with a focus on UniVerse and UniData, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy for UniVerse and UniData, defining and enforcing QA standards, processes, and methodologies. Oversee the creation of detailed test plans and ensure effective execution of test cases for UniVerse and UniData releases, covering functional, regression, and performance testing. Evaluate, implement, and enhance test automation strategies specifically for UniVerse and UniData, leading the automation team in script development and maintenance. Manage defect tracking processes for UniVerse and UniData, ensuring timely identification, reporting, and resolution, while collaborating closely with development teams. Collaborate with the UniVerse and UniData development team to understand product architecture, features, and technical requirements, participating in design and code reviews. Define and track key QA metrics to assess the quality and performance of UniVerse and UniData, generating regular reports for stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the QA team and across the UniVerse and UniData group, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains and process optimization. Provide training and mentorship to QA team members, fostering skill and product knowledge development and career growth in the context of UniVerse and UniData.
