Job DescriptionAs the Director of Software engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery and execution of high-quality software products. This role requires aligning technology strategies with the broader company mission while leading and mentoring engineering leaders. The Director ensures that engineering teams operate with high performance, security, stability, and availability, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities Lead the development of technology strategies and roadmaps, collaborating with product, design, and architecture peersDefine objectives, key results, and performance indicators to align engineering teams with company goalsEnsure the security, stability, and availability of systems built by the teamsLead and manage multiple engineering teams, focusing on performance, technical development, and growthFoster a culture of continuous improvement in software engineering and delivery practicesCultivate self-organizing, high-performing teams committed to craftsmanship, scalability, and resilienceMentor and guide technical leaders, fostering innovation and leadership at all levelsMaintain operational excellence, ensuring systems are highly available and fault-tolerantCollaborate with cross-functional peers to develop decoupled and cohesive systemsOwn performance management outcomes, setting high standards for talent and performanceOversee the financial health of systems, managing both costs and revenues

Bring proven experience leading and scaling multiple engineering teams in a high-performing environmentAlign technology strategy with company goals, collaborating effectively with product, design, and architecture teamsDemonstrate deep technical expertise and a strong understanding of software architecture, security, stability, and system availabilityFoster a culture of continuous improvement, craftsmanship, and innovation across engineering teamsMentor and develop engineering leaders, empowering teams to take ownership and grow professionallyDefine clear objectives, key results, and performance indicators to drive team alignment and accountabilityEnsure operational excellence with highly available, fault-tolerant, and resilient systems.Exhibit strong business acumen, managing budgets, costs, and value delivery from engineering initiativesLead with transparency, integrity, and a focus on cultivating an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing engineering culture

$$220,590- $242,882
