Job Description
Rocket Software, Inc. is looking to fill a Manager, Software Engineering - MultiValue Products position reporting to Rogers, Arkansas (May telecommute part of time from home residence within Rogers, AR metropolitan area). Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent accepted) in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field and 7 years' progressively responsible experience in an IT-related occupation. Experience must include the following specific experience and skills:
7 years' experience with C
7 years' experience with UniVerse and UniData
5 years' programming experience in MultiValue (PICK) Basic Language with Universe, and UniData
5 years' experience in managing across multiple platforms and operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows)
3 years' experience managing a team of technical engineers - Software and/or Quality Engineering
2 years' experience in Agile development methodologies
As the Manager, Software Engineering - MultiValue Products, you will lead a global team of software and quality engineers dedicated to the development and maintenance of enterprise MultiValue solutions, with a focus on UniVerse and UniData. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the continual improvement and innovation of these products, meeting the evolving demands of our global customer base. We are seeking an individual with a profound understanding of UniVerse and UniData, coupled with exceptional leadership, enthusiasm, and creativity.
Collaborate with Rocketeers across functions, geographies, and technologies to ensure Rocket MultiValue remains the leader in the industry. Lead technical conversations with customers to understand their requirements, ensuring accurate delivery and maintaining high-quality standards. Lead and set the direction for the design and implementation of software features/functionality, testing, correction of defects, and/or creation of new features. Ensure that bug fixes are released in a timely manner and that the development team is responsive to the global technical support team. Coach and mentor team members of all skill levels to perform optimally. Establish and expand development teams, actively participating in onboarding and training. Implement corporate policies for Product Development processes, standards, and automation. Monitor and ensure strict adherence to standards for efficient team operations. Track activities of global developer staff to meet customer expectations and strategically plan for future innovations.
