ROLE SNAPSHOT

Experience Target:

10+ years, senior hands-on engineering leader.

Location:

DMV area preferred; in-office collaboration preferred but not mandatory.

ROLE MANDATE

This is a hands-on engineering leadership role supporting trust bureau buildout. The person will help shape architecture, execution, and team direction while staying close to the code and solving ambiguous product and technical problems.

TARGET PROFILE

MUST HAVES

Hands-on engineering leadership, not a purely managerial profile. Strong Java and

REST API

experience. AWS and infrastructure experience. Security-aware product thinking and comfort with trust-sensitive data. Experience building real customer-facing products in a commercial environment. Demonstrable AI experience.

STRONG DIFFERENTIATORS

(Bonus) MongoDB experience. SendGrid experience. Identity, credit bureau, big data, or correlation engine background.

IDEAL CAREER PROFILE

Has built and shipped software in product-oriented environments. Has stayed technical while leading people or technical direction. Is comfortable in a greenfield, scaling environment. Wants meaningful ownership over product and architecture.

FAILURE PROFILES

Pure people manager with limited hands-on technical depth. Candidate who is too theoretical and not execution-oriented. Background limited to government-only work with little commercial product exposure. #AC1
