Job Description

Technology Manager 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars eMetric is a San Antonio based technology platforms provider for K-12 education seeking a Technology Manager. The Technology Manager will be responsible for managing a team of developers as well as the overall delivery life cycle of eMetric's reporting portal. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader. Primary Responsibilities:
Management of the overall systems development and delivery life cycle against project plans and delivery commitments Manage and delegate the day-to-day activities of the software development team within an Agile/Scrum environment with a "hands on" attitude using excellent judgment, organization, and problem-solving skills Work closely with the engineers/developers to architect and develop the best technical design and approach. Provide strategic and tactical management by prioritizing a deliverable using the available resources Think End-to-End by connecting all the pieces of the project (development, product management, QA, operations, etc.) to deliver quality software on time by leveraging all available assets Always strive to enhance the development procedures and processes to boost productivity and streamline development operations Provide thought leadership on emerging technologies and keep up with the latest trends and innovations
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. A master's degree is highly preferred. Background check is required. This is a Hybrid position in San Antonio, TX. Team members are required to be in-office at least once per week. This position is not eligible for employment sponsorship, OPT, or CPT. Do not apply if any of the above apply to your work authorization. 10+ years of experience in architecture design and maintenance of large-scale, cloud-native, distributed software systems. 10+ years of experience in software development, including modern frameworks, cloud platforms, and emerging engineering practices. Experience with AI-first development that incorporates AI-assisted coding, automation. Proficient in a wide range of Web, Middleware, and Database technologies Proficient in DevOps tools including standard development tools, source control methodologies, continuous integration techniques, and principles including build and deployment management functions Expert knowledge of Microsoft .NET framework, JavaScript, and SQL, plus modern stacks used in cloud-native development. Experience with microservices architecture and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes Advanced experience building secure, reliable, scalable RESTful services. Strong command of modern methodologies including SAFe, Agile, Test-Driven Development (TDD) Demonstrated ability to align technology strategy with business outcomes and proven track record of leading hybrid or remote teams.
