Our solutions enable other Amazon teams to accelerate the execution of work to meet our sustainability goals, including Amazon's public goals and commitments. WWST is looking for a Sr. Manager of Software Development who will drive the strategy and technical architecture for complex projects. In this role, you will work with program owners, product leaders, technical partners, both in sustainability and software, to develop and launch solutions that solve problems of incredible scale and impact. Your ability to communicate and influence others will be a key to success. You are a results-oriented, customer-focused manager who gets excited about diving deep, running hard, and delivering a big impact. Key job responsibilities
- Manage a team of engineers who architect, design, and develop products that launch quickly and support scalable longer-term vision to delight customers
- Manage a high performing team
- Manage overall software development life-cycle
- Create, prioritize, communicate, manage, and execute roadmaps, project plans, and commitments
- Foster culture of continuous engineering improvement through mentoring, feedback, and metrics
- Hire, coach, and mentor individuals; build a strong cross-functional organization
- Bring innovative ideas to the table every day, in order to find better ways of accomplishing our customer objectives About the team

Basic Qualifications- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 5+ years of engineering team management experience
- 10+ years of planning, designing, developing and delivering consumer software experience
- Experience partnering with product or program management teams
- Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects and development teams in an Agile environment Preferred Qualifications
- Experience partnering with product and program management teams
- Experience designing and developing large scale, high-traffic applications
